Mary Elizabeth (Kennedy) Kay

Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Kay, 89, of Liberty Twp., died Saturday March 16, 2013, at her residence.  Liz was born December 9, 1923 in Girard, Ohio.  She was a homemaker for most of her life and had previously worked for Strouss', downtown Youngstown and Steel City in Youngstown.  Liz was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church.  During her lifetime, Liz belonged to several card clubs and golf leagues and was a Den Mother for Boy Scouts.  She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joann Kay of Liberty Twp., grandchildren Herb (Heather) Kay IV, Cathy (Nick) Macchione and great-grandchildren Megan, Victoria, Andrew, Sammy, Vinni and Zac.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert N. Kay Jr., son Herbert N. Kay III and sisters Catherine Hoopes and Dorothy Allen.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 20th , 11:00 AM, at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
