Phyllis May (Owens) Seitz

Phyllis May Seitz, 93,of Girard, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Heritage Manor in Youngstown. Phyllis was born February 9, 1923, in Weathersfield Twp., Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Iverna Owens Seitz. She had worked for Packard Electric for 21 years. Phyllis was a member of Liberty Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed playing the bells at church, watching wrestling on televsion and watching football, especially her favorite teams, the Steelers and Ohio State. She is survived by her son, Robin (Mary Beth) Seitz, of Warren, her former daughter-in-law Denise Gorgie of Hubbard and her grandchildren, Michael, Isaiah and Raeann. She is preceded in death by her sisters; Gladys, Wilma, Mildred and Margaret, and three brothers; Bobby, Russell and Elmer. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 15th, 6:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
