Andrew J. Bozin, 94, of McDonald, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Andrew was born July 20, 1921, the son of Dimitry and Frances Bertovic Bozin. He had worked for over 35 years at City Asphalt and Paving Co., in Youngstown, Ohio, as an operating engineer. Andrew served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during W. W. II, was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald, the International Union of Operating Engineer's Local #66- District #2 for 62 years,and it's Retirees Club, the Reserve Officers Association, the American Legion Post #235, and the Hubbard V.F.W. Post #3767. He is survived by his daughter, Frances (Thomas) McClary, of Mogadore, Ohio, his son, James Bozin, of Clover, SC, his sister, Mary Ries, of Brecksville, Ohio, his grandchildren, Thomas (Martyne) McClary and Michael (Jackie) McClary and two great-grandchildren. Andrew is preceded in death by his first wife, Katheryn (Vuletich) Bozin, his second wife, Angelyn (Zittello) Bozin, his brothers; John, Paul and George Bozin and his step-brother, Vasil Bozin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, officiated by the celebrant Fr. Daniel Kulesa and the con celebrant Fr. Edward Brienz, preceded by a prayer service at 9:30 AM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
