Angeline "Angie" C.; (Vadino) Mikolaj

Angeline "Angie" C. Mikolaj, 93, of Girard passed July 2, 2017 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River, Florida. Angie was born January 9, 1924, in Youngstown, the daughter of the Anthony and Rose (Cavalcanti) Vadino.
Angie was employed at US Steel for seven years. After she married her husband, Steve "Bob" Mikolaj on June 16, 1952, she dedicated her time to raising their two sons. In 1974 she began working at St. Rose Church, in Girard, as a secretary. Angie was very involved in the church and would volunteer for various actives including the annual festival. She retired in 2007.
Besides her husband, Angie leaves her sons; Robert (Noreen) Mikolaj of Florida and Mark Mikolaj of Girard; her siblings Madiline Fonce, Carmen Vadino, Clara Phillips, Anthony Vadino Jr., Regina Baker,and Joseph Vadino, her grandchildren; Kelli Rae O'Connell and Robbie Mikolaj, and her great-grandchildren; Ryder Michael and Rylee Rae O'Connell.
Angie was preceded in death by her five sisters, Marie Adams, Irene Candio, Lucille Santangelo, Rosemarie Johnston and Irene Pinciaro; and a brother, August Vadino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Rose Church in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends, at the church, from 10 AM until the time of the service.
