Anita A (Scarnecchia) Chase

Anita Chase, 78, of Niles, formerly of Girard, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. Anita was born March 12, 1938, a daughter of Sam and Mary Scarnecchia. Anita retired after 34 years from Packard Electric. She was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard. Anita enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and watching game shows. Her greatest pleasure was her grandchildren and spending Sunday's morning with them eating donuts and making meatballs. She is survived by her children, Brenda Eagle of Howland, John (Karen) Chase of Girard, and Amy Lambert of Canfield, her grandchildren, Kiaunte (Jason) Graham & Malarie (Corina) Eagle, Jake, Zane and Samantha Chase, Sidney and Alexandra Lambert, great-grandchildren Audrey, Grace and Luke, brothers, Sam  Scarnecchia of Florida, Ron Scarnecchia of Niles and Sister-in-law Carmella Scarnecchia of Girard. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John A. Chase, whom she married November 30, 1957, and died April 12, 2012, and brother Joe Scarnecchia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27th, 2:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Anita will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery next to her husband.
