Ann C (Gordon) Canter

Ann C. Canter, 86, of Girard, passed away on October 12, 2015, at Autumn Hills Nursing Home. Ann was born April 30, 1929 in Girard, the daughter of Walter and Mary Walsh Gordon. Ann had previously worked for the Girard Diner and Rudy's Restaurant. She was a member of St. Rose Church, the VFW Ladies Auxillary and the Girard Eagles Aerie #2172. Ann is survived by her children; John A. Canter of Youngstown, Michael Canter and Gerald (Cheryl) Canter, both of Pennsylvania and Kathie Mallory of Girard, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Canter, whom she married February 14, 1951 and died Jan. 30, 2015, sisters Agnes Sabolosky, Rita McMannis and Betty Kenner, and brothers, Walter, Leo and Thomas Gordon. As per Ann's wishes there will be no services. She will be laid to rest at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Niles.
