Anna Commarata

Anna Commarata, 100, of Austintown, formerly of Liberty Twp., passed away on Sunday February 23, 2014 at Meridian Arms.  Anna was born October 28, 1913 in Cianciana, Italy, a daughter of the late Pete and Maria Ciccarillo Cilone.  Anna devoted her life to being a homemaker for her family and was a member of St. Rose Church.  Anna is survived by her sons Joseph A. (Rose) Commarata of Girard and Pete (Peggy) Commarata of Boardman, brother Andrew (JoAnn) Cilone of NC., grandchildren Anthony Commarata of Akron, Michael (Michelle) Commarata of Columbus, Brian (Priscilla) Commarata of Boardman and Lisa (Rick) Edgell of Boardman, and great-grandchildren Brandon and Brittany Edgell, Lauren, Aiden & Antionette Maria and Nicholas Commarata. She is preceded in death by her husband Anthony T. Commarata whom she married June 2, 1935 and died October 7, 1952, sister Rose Miszaros and brothers Alfonse, Joseph, James and Pete Cilone.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday 10:00 AM at St. Rose Church preceded by a 9:30 AM prayer service at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5-7PM at the funeral home.  Anna will be laid to rest at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Wellsville, Ohio.  Visit www.blackstonefuneralhome.com to view this obituary and to send condolences to the Commarata Family.
