Anna M Friedman

Anna M. Friedman, 92, of Liberty Twp., passed away on Saturday February 28, 2015 at Northside Hospital. She was born October 15, 1922 in Fairpoint, Ohio, the daughter of the late Vincent and Victoria Crisi Yannucci. Anna worked for Thorton Laundry and retired from Krogers Grocery Store as a head cashier, office manager. She was a long time member of St. Casimir Church in Youngstown and after closing of the church Anna joined St. Edwards Church. She was a member of Altar and Rosary Society and St. Casey’s Club of St. Casimir Church. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City and playing the slots, gardening and cooking for her family. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Pinti of Girard and Karen (Jim) Carsone of Liberty Twp., five grandchildren, James (Melissa) Carsone, Jason M. (Fiancée Beth Schwan) Carsone, Brian A. (Kacee) Pinti, Kevin M. Pinti and Michelle E. (Adam Flowers) Pinti, two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Jimmy Carsone, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph G. Friedman whom she married April 27, 1946 and passed away on June 25, 1999, sister, Sylvia McBride and brothers, James and Chester Yannucci. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday March 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Edwards Church in Youngstown, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am till time of Mass. Anna will be laid to rest at Belmont Park Cemetery. The family request in lieu of flowers any material contributions be made to Blackstone Funeral Home to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
