Anne (Ancik) Mikacinich

Anne Mikacinich, 91, of Girard, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at her home. Anne was born March 26, 1924, in McDonald, Ohio, the daughter of Andrew and Nettie Kostur Ancik. She worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital as an LPN for 22 years retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Rose Church, Past-President of Warren Emblem #297 and AARP. Anne enjoyed traveling with her husband all over the United States and abroad, and she loved collecting Madame Alexander international dolls and hummels. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 70 years, John Mikacinich, whom she married July 14, 1945, her brother Michael Ancik of Edmond, OK, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, William and John Ancik. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd, 1:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
