Anne O'Block, born December 3, 1924 in Royal, Pennsylvania. Daughter of the late Matt and Ana (Kajfez) Gladd. She was a graduate of Mecca High School and after graduating she worked in the payroll offices of Federal Machine and Welding Company and U.S. Gypsum Company in Warren, Ohio.
She married the love of her life, Victor O'Block, on September 15, 1951. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker to her family. She lived a life of love and service to those she loved. Anne was well known for her baking, often making favorite dishes from her parents' homeland of Slovenia, and was well known for her pizza! She loved gardening and reading. Her greatest love was polka dancing, singing, and traveling with her husband, brothers, and sister on many fun filled trips. Anne was a lifelong member of the Slovenian Women's Union organization and was a founding member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Vienna.
Anne is survived by her two daughters Anne Marie (Michael) Birskovich of Howland, and daughter Linda (Daniel) Armeni of Liberty, cherished granddaughters Andrea (David) Tharp and Allison (Thomas) Bottorff, Great-grandchildren Ryan and Emily Tharp and Gianna And Avery Bottorff. Anne leaves a surviving brother, George Edward Gladd, sister-in-law Janet Gladd, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents , Anne is preceded in death by her loving husband Victor O'Block, brothers Matt, Joseph, Anthony, Frank, John Gladd and sister Mary (Gladd) Diana.
Calling hours will be held at Blackstone Funeral Home on Sunday March 2, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday March 3rd at 10:00 AM at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church.
