Annie (Jenkins) Harkleroad

Annie L. Harkleroad, 86, of Vienna, passed away with her family by her side on Thursday October 24, 2013 at daughter's residence.  She was born October 1, 1927 in Warrenington, Virginia, the daughter of the late William and Myrtle Jenkins.  Annie had worked for the Ohio Leather Works Co., in Girard and retired from Packard Electric as a press operator.  She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and crafts.  She is survived by her daughters, Susan Alexi ,with whom she made her home with in Vienna, Dorothy (Denny) Bloom of Enon, Ohio, Debra Weaver of Vienna and Sheryl (Earl) Blevins of Braceville, grandsons Brian (Pam) Alexi, Kevin (Stephanie) Alexi, Don Bloom, Bob Bloom and Arron Weaver and two great-grandsons Brian Jr and Brandon.  She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Harkleroad whom she married Sept. 20, 1947 and died May 7, 2008 , her son-in-law Joe Alexi and her ten brothers and sisters.  Private services will be held on Saturday October 26th at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  Interment will take place at Pineview Cemetery.  The family requests any material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley in Annie's memory.  To view this obituary and to send condolences to the Harkleroad family visit www.blackstonefuneralhome.com.
