Raccuja, Italy- Antonietta Marziani Rottino, 72, passed away Saturday May 5, 2018 in Raccuja, Italy. Antonietta passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, in the presence of her beloved family. She was born July 10, 1945 in Raccuja, Italy, the daughter of Elio Marziani and Grazia DiStefano.
Antonietta immigrated to the United States of America in 1956 with her father Elio and her brother Ercole, when she was 10 years old.
Antonietta graduated Girard High School in 1966. She was employed at Lawson’s and Hills department store. On her 18th birthday she applied for US citizenship. She married Giuseppe Rottino in 1967, who she met in Italy. She later returned to Italy with her husband in 1970. Antonietta will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was a jewel of a person; her loyalty and honesty were unsurpassed. She was personable to everyone, when she smiled she had a glow about her, that no one could deny. She never had anything bad to say about anyone. She was matriarch of her family and she was the force that kept everything in order. Antonietta was one who confronted family problems head-on, especially for her daughter Maria Grazia, a special needs child who never left her sight. Antonietta was also a caretaker, to her mother-in-law and life-long nanny Tindra. Antonietta came back to the United States many times to visit family and friends. Last year, she celebrated her 50th Anniversary. Antonietta leaves her husband, Giuseppe Rottino of Raccuja, Italy, her son Frank (Carmela) Rottino and a daughter Maria Grazia Rottino, a grandson Giuseppe Tottino and a granddaughter Martina Rottino, of Italy.
