Armida “Bonnie” Yvonne Westfall, 75, of Girard, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Hospice House in Poland with her family by her side. Bonnie was born May 15, 1945 in El Paso, Texas, a daughter of the late, Raymond and Ester (Pineda) Carrasco. She was a graduate of Austin High School and attended UTEP University. Bonnie was a member of St. Rose Church. She began teaching at St. Rose Sunny Days Preschool in 1997 and was a CCD teacher. She had a great love for all the kids she taught and all the kids loved her. Bonnie loved to watch sports especially the Cleveland Indians, her favorite player was Carlos Carrasco. But most of all Bonnie loved her grandchildren and watching them play in their many sports. She loved Elvis and was a collector of many memorabilia. Bonnie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Pamela (James) Siembieda, Lynda Westfall, Michael (Joane) Westfall, James Westfall, and Randall Westfall, brother, Ron (Maria) Carrasco, grandchildren, Peyton, Shae, Richard, Jonathon, Rachel, Cadence and Kayley, and sister in laws, Letta Grey, Madeline Hefner, and Louise (Fred) Willston. Besides her parents Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Westfall, who she married, September 1, 1966, and died January 12, 1991, and sister Mary Ester Garcia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 6th, 11:00 AM at St. Rose Church, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Bonnie will be laid to rest at Belmont Park Cemetery next to her husband. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Sunny Days Preschool in Bonnie’s memory.
