Avalon Lavin, 88, formerly of Girard, passed away Friday September 14, 2012 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born September 17, 1923 in Uhrichsville, Ohio the daughter of the late Clifford & Mabel Witsaman Williams. Avalon retired from Nickel's Bakery as a secretary. She is survived by her son, John M. Schuller of Lordstown; sister, Shirley Fisher of Girard; grandchildren, Christine (Kenneth) Bornemiss, Victoria (Paul) Paridon, and Michael (Nadine) Schuller and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Lavin and brother, Donald Williams. Funeral Services will be held at Girard City Cemetery Chapel on Monday September 17, 2012 at 1:30p.m. Arrangements were entrusted to Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
