Bettie Norman

Bettie Norman, 71, of Austintown formerly of Girard, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Bettie was born June 5, 1949 in Warren, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clifford and Mary (Williamson) Norman. Bettie was a graduate of McDonald High School and worked for General Electric. Bettie was witty with a good sense of humor, a very bubbly person and had many friends. Prior to being at Austinwoods Bettie loved to go shopping and to go out to eat, and enjoyed reading, traveling and makeup. However, what she enjoyed most of all was spending time with her family and friends. Bettie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory her nieces, Christina (Jon) Miller of Austintown, and Kelly (Raymond) Butler of Avon, IL, sister, Paulette Thomas of Mineral Ridge, step daughter, Debbie (Matthew) Butts of Canfield,  her grandson, Mitchell who she loved with all her heart, along with many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Besides her parents Bettie is preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Manny, and nephew, Jason Grimaldi. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 13th, 2:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Bettie will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
