Betty June Yeager

Betty June Yeager, 86, of Warren, formerly of Girard, passed away on Saturday April 18, 2015 at Cedar Creek Care Center . Betty June was born May 25, 1928 in St. Mary's , West Virginia, the daughter of the late Arlie B. and Mamie E. Smith Pyles.  She had worked for several area restaurant's for over 45 years and retired in 1989.  Betty June was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Campbell and she had enjoyed bowling.  She is survived by her daughter, Kathern (Terry) Hardway of Lake Milton, Ohio, son, Robert (Denise) Yeager of Perryville, Maryland, grandchildren: Tina (David) Beckett, Donny (Brandy) Buzzard, Paula (Mark) Koenig, Bobbie Jo Buzzard and Amber Yeager, and 12 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Dempsy Yeager, whom she married June 9, 1956 and died September 7, 1968, daughter Shirley MacDonald, sisters; Merle Price, Edith McCormick and Grace McGuiness and brothers; Roy Pyles and Emil Pyles. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24th, 1:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Betty June will be laid to rest at Green Haven Cemetery.  The family requested in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
