Carleen Witkoski

Carleen Witkoski, 77, of McDonald, passed away on Sunday August 11, 2013 at Lake Vista in Cortland.  Carleen was born September 6, 1935 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Irvin and Cleo Probst Ryan.  She was an avid member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She is survived by her sons Michael (Traci) Witkoski and Mark (Kim) Witkoski, both of McDonald, sister Judy Jerald of Stratham, Georgia, brother Ted (Joan) Ryan of Louisville, Ky, grandchildren Ryan (Kellie Burke) Witkoski, Amy (Phil) Hornikel, Joe (Shenee Mantz) Witkoski and Jason Witkoski, great-grandsons Nathan and Jake Hornikel, and her close friend Edward "Cork" Whorley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G., whom she married November 10, 1956 and died November 12, 1994 and daughter Michelle Witkoski.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 14th, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.  The family will recieve relatives and friends on Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.  The family requests any material contributions be made to Senior Independence Hospice, 6715 Tippecanoe Rd.  Canfield, Ohio  44406 or www.seniorindependence.org.  Visit www.blackstonefuneralhome.com. to view this obituary and send condolences to eh Witkoski family.
