Carlson Channell, 81, of Youngstown, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. 

Carlson was born April 27, 1943 in Randolph, West Virginia.

He proudly served his country in the US Navy for 20 years. 

He was employed at Poling & Bacon Construction as a mechanic and equipment operator. He was also a supervisor, in Minnesota, for Safety Signs Company.

Carlson enjoyed golfing and was proud of his hole in one! He also enjoyed watching Nascar races. He was involved in his community, socializing with and helping friends and neighbors. 

Carlson leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Izetta Aubel, the love of his life, Pam Channell; his children, Carl Jr. (Sandy) and Dwayne Channell (Debbie Alexander);grandchildren, Taylor Bansberg (Devin), Rachel, Courtney and Samantha Santarelli (Randy); and great grandchildren, Mia, Serena and Garrett. 

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, September 16th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. A funeral service with military honors will follow at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
