Carol S (Wiesen) Banks

Carol S. Banks, 67, of Liberty Twp., passed away on Wednesday January 21, 2015 at Sharon Regional Hospital.  Carol was born February 1, 1947 in Sharon, Pa, the daughter of Richard and Charlotte Edwards Wiesen Sr.  Carol was a 1964 graduate of Sharon High School. She had worked for Charter One Bank in Girard as a teller for many years.  Carol was a member of St. Edward's Church.  She devoted herself to her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Cynthia L. Brown of Goose Creek, SC, Charles R. (Kathy) Banks of New Bern, NC and Craig C. (Fiancée Courtney) Banks of Ravenna, sisters; Anne (Richard) Yarabenetz , Marion Abdeljabar, Deborah Hartwick and Elizabeth (John) Putnam, brothers; Raymond Wiesen Sr. and David Wiesen, sister-in-law Panchita Wiesen, grandchildren; Dennis Banks, Donald Palotsee, Timothy Banks, Heather Brown, Kyle Brown, Kevin Banks, Kristin Banks, Alex Banks and Taylor Banks and great-grandchildren; Marley and Juliusz Pearce.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence B. Banks, whom she married November 14, 1964 and died March 22, 2013, daughters; Cheryl A. Elser and Connie Marie Banks and brothers Richard and Anthony Wiesen.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 29th from 5-8pm at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30th, 11:00 am at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  Carol will be laid to rest at Belmont Park Cemetery.
