Caroline Klenovich, 100, of McDonald, passed away on Monday January 20, 2014 at the Humility House in Austintown. Caroline was born August 24, 1913 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ignatius and Maria Blazinec Simir. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald, the Altar and Rosary Society, Croatian Fraternal Lodge #593 and formerly of the St. George Lodge #66. Caroline is survived by her children, Charles Klenovich of Wooster, Barbara (John) Gantar of McDonald and Carol (Louis) Morocco of McDonald, with whom she made her home with, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Klenovich, whom she married October 25, 1930 and died June 23, 1986, a brother Charles Simir and sister Kathryn Dunnam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday January 23rd, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, preceded by a 10:30 AM prayer service at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5-8PM and also on Thursday from 9:30AM-10:30AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Girard City Cemetery.
