Charles Robert Fitch

Charles R. Fitch, 89, of Liberty Twp., passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Northside Hospital. Charles was born May 13, 1926 in Coitsville, Ohio, the son of Harry and Helen Pettitt Fitch. He graduated from Scienceville High School in Youngstown, Ohio in 1943. Charles retired from Armour Meat Co. in Youngstown after 32 years. Charles was a Navy veteran of WWII. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, traveling with his wife, especially to Mountaineer and Las Vegas, and spending time with his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former, Violet M. McGraw, daughters; Debbie (Bob) James, Brenda (Robert) Bedio, Linda (Daniel) Freet, Sandy (Tim) Bennett and Pam Protain, brother, Robert Fitch, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by C. Victor and Margarete Fitch, who raised him after his parents passed away, his sisters, Mabel, Virginia, and Sara, brother Howard, and a granddaughter Donna Jean. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 24th, 2:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will recieve relatives and friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.
