Charles "Chuck" D Griffiths

Charles D "Chuck" Griffiths, 71, of Liberty Twp., passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at his residence.  Chuck was born September 1, 1944 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of James and Kathryn( Murtaugh) Griffiths Sr. Chuck had previously worked as a welder for Oldberg Manufacturing and Youngstown Steel Door. He had also worked for several auto body shops, as well as working on his own and restoring two classic cars. Chuck enjoyed going to car shows and the casino's, but he especially enjoyed his time spent with his granddaughters. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former, Carolyn A. Banks, whom he married July 25, 1964, his daughter Debra Neff of Girard, granddaughters, Sara (Seth) Hipkins and Rebecca Neff, great-granddaughter Madison Neff, sister, Audrey Sawaska of Hubbard, brother, Paul Griffiths of Hubbard, his beloved dog Max, and the Banks family, who thought of him more as a brother than an in law. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Wava Jean Griffiths and brothers, James Jr. and Wayne. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13th, 6:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
