Clara L. Zeigler, 77, of Girard, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Clara was born June 24, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Howard and Mary L. (Turnbull) Weaver. Clara was a devoted wife and mother and had a special place her in heart for helping to care for and place rescued animals. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, David ( Wanda) Thompson and daughter Annette (Donald) Missik, both of Girard, step-daughter Elizabeth (Gregory) Zell, brothers Frank Weaver of North Lima and Fred Weaver of Boardman, five grandchildren; Christopher Thompson, David Thompson, Timothy Thompson, Tasha Zell and Megan Zell, and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Zeigler, sisters, Mary Ann Murray and Martha Weaver, and brother Howard Weaver. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, 6:00 PM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
