Con "Eddie" Welch

Con E. "Eddie" Welch, 56, of Girard, died Thursday July 24, 2014 at UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born July 4, 1958 in Youngstown, the son of the late James and Dorothy Hodge Welch. Eddie worked for Tube City IMS in Girard as a Locomotive Engineer and Crain Operator since 1987. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and had a passion for working on cars. He was a avid Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankee fan. Family was first and foremost in Eddie's life. He lived to cherish his wife the former Kimberly A. Hitt whom he married November 8, 2013, sisters, Sealenia "Sue" (Jim) Jornigan of Girard, Sharon "Babe" Rudisill of Pulaski, VA, Shelia (George) Cornell of Girard, Sandy "Baby" (John) Boccieri of Girard, brothers, Jay (Laurie) Welch of Youngstown , Gary (Deanna) Welch of Girard, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his dog Thunder. He is preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday July 29, 2014 at 11:00 am at Blackstone Funeral Home. Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Eddie will be laid to rest at Belmont Park Cemetery.
