Concetta Julia Protich

Concetta Julia DeFabio Protich, 80, of Austintown, passed away Thursday December 19, 2024 at home with her family by her side. Connie was born in Youngstown, Ohio on January 24, 1944 to the late Ralph DeFabio and Carmel Ruberto Chine DeFabio. 

She retired from Packard Electric in 1999. She enjoyed bowling and going to the casino. Most of all family was most important in Connie's life. She was generous, selfless and loving to all. 

She is survived by her daughter Toni Protich Rozzi and granddaughter Taylor Rozzi who she made her home with. She also leaves her son Greg Protich of Austintown also her grandson and granddaughter Chief Peter James Rozzi III and his wife Christie Zimmer Rozzi, great grandson Jackson Joseph Rozzi and her beloved favorite golden retrievers Toby, Milo and Louie. She also leaves her family from Fort Walton Beach, Florida who she loved dearly. 

She is preceded in death by her grandson Jeffrey Randall Rozzi, her brother Ralph and sister in law Patti DeFabio, her brother Louis Chine Sr., and sister in law Betty Jane Chine, sister Nicole Chine Harbeson and brother in law William Harbeson, sister Katherine Chine Stokes and brother in law James Randell Stokes.

 Private services were held for the family. 

Connie was laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery. 

 A Celebration of Life will be held on January 24, 2025 at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 11:00 AM.
