Dale Thailing, 63, of Girard, passed away suddenly on January 2, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Dale was born May 30, 1961 in Parma , Ohio, the son of Donald and Doris Mae (Slovachik) Thailing.
He was a devoted carpenter, proudly dedicating 32 years of his life to Starr Construction Company, where he earned the respect and admiration of both colleagues and clients and reached the highest level of craftsmanship.
Dale enjoyed his time camping, hiking, skiing, scuba diving and exploring the world with his son Dustin. He enjoyed doing stunts at stunt shows, but most of all his favorite pastime was being with his grandchildren.
Dale leaves to cherish his memory his children, Colleen Hake of Satsuma, FL, Heather Weston of Morganton, NC, Michael Thailing of Phoenix, AZ , Dustin Hake-Thailing of Las Vegas, NV, and Searra Thailing of Girard, OH; sister Denise Arsenault of Lakewood, CO; brothers, Daryl Thailing of Ormond Beach, FL, and David Thailing of The Villages, FL; and grandchildren, Shyanna, Stephan, Adyson, Solace and Zeyon.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents.
In remembering Dale, we honor not only his professional accomplishments but also the character he displayed throughout his life. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday January 8th at 4:00 PM at Rust City Church, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Rd. #105B Niles, Ohio 44446.
A celebration of Dale's life will be held at a later date.
