Daniel J. Riccitelli, 67

Daniel J. Riccitelli, 67, of McDonald, died Friday November 7, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 8, 1947 in Troy, New York, the son of the late Joseph and Antoinette Choppa Riccitelli.

Daniel worked for General Motors for 45 1/2 years, first as a Plant Supervisor and then working in the office before retiring in 2014. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and a social member of the Army-Navy Garrison #422. Dan was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. He enjoyed golfing with his friends, riding his motorcycle and cruising around town in his Corvette, but most of all, spending time with his cherished family.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Beverly Cranston, whom he married October 4, 1968, his beloved children: Debbie (Jeff) Parker of Charlotte, NC.; Danielle Riccitelli of Shaker Heights; Sandra (Chris) Gault of Youngstown; Donald (Kara) Riccitelli and Randy (Danielle) Riccitelli, both of Boardman; his sisters, Mary Jo Dunn, Donna Riccitelli and Andrea (Steve) Clune, and sister-in-law, Kathy Riccitelli, all of Hubbard; his beloved grandchildren, who adored him; Quinn & Chloe Parker, Romeo Gabrielson, Aaron, Andrew, Hannah, & Sarah Gault, Karlynn, Mackenzie, & Alan Riccitelli, and Dominic & Sofia Riccitelli. Daniel also leaves numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Riccitelli.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 11 th at 11:00 a.m. at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Dan will be laid to rest at Kerr Cemetery.

The family would like to thank  Hospice of the Valley for the wonderful and compassionate care that was given to Daniel during his illness.
