Daniel T Robbins Sr.

Daniel T. Robbins Sr., 65, of Howland Twp., passed away on Monday January 5, 2015 at his residence after a brief illness.  Daniel was born August 6, 1949 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Denton A Robbins and Betty Carson Robbins-Lawn.  Daniel retired in 2006 from General Electric Mahoning Glass Plant in Niles after 35 years as a press operator. He had served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.   Daniel was a member of Woodland Park United Methodist Church, the Girard Eagles, the VFW of Girard and the Amvets of Niles. He enjoyed fishing, gambling and the race track, sitting at the bar with his friends playing bar tickets and had previously enjoyed playing pool and darts.  Daniel loved dogs, and will be sadly missed by his dog Angel.  He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Daniel T. Robbins and his fiancee Tracy Rosenberger of Cortland, his grandsons Daniel and Anthony and his sister Joan (Dan) O'Neil of Ossing, New York. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Lawn. As per Daniel's request cremation will take place and there will be no services.  The family requests any material contributions be made to the Animal Welfare League, 812 Youngstown-Kingsville Rd., Vienna, Ohio  in Daniel's memory.
