David E. Rounds

David Rounds, 64, of Warren, passed away at his residence Sunday May 21, 2017, surrounded by his family and close friends. David was born December 20, 1952 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Samuel Whittaker and Shirley (Green) Rounds. David worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube, Indolex, and as an Independent Truck Driver prior to his retirement. David was a Vietnam veteran who served his country in the United States Navy.

David enjoyed collecting hot wheel cars and movies, as well as frequenting flea markets and antique malls. David was proud of his ICP collection, and during his life had attended many concerts since 1989.

Of all the things he cherished, his family both the Rounds and Whittakers, were what he held most dear. Besides his mother of Girard, he leaves his wife, Patricia Rounds, whom he married September 10, 2016; his sons Dave (Brandy) Rounds and Daniel (Sara) Rounds; his step-children Chrissy (Joe) Lowe, Ron (Ashley) McGlynn, Rick (Jen) McGlynn and Tammie (Steve) Harris; his sisters Peggy Exline, Trina (Jesse) Michael, and Carol (Bruce) Guy, Chrissy Whittaker, and Tish Lagese; his brothers Charles (Angela) Whittaker and Samuel Whittaker; six grandchildren; four adopted grandchildren and one expected great-grandson.

Besides his father, he is preceded in death by his adopted father Ronald E. Rounds, and two siblings Frankie Whittaker and Kathy Whittaker.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 25th at 6:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will received relatives and friends from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
