David Smith Sr., 65, of Niles, passed away on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at his residence. David was born September 19, 1951 in Warren, Ohio, the son of William L. and Shirley M. (Seiple) Smith Jr. He was a graduate of Liberty High School. David worked as a Machinist for more than thirty years, at Trumbull Lamp and Sharon Tube where he retired. David loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers
David leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Shirley of Vienna, his son David (Dana) Smith Jr. of Cortland, his sisters Sherry Smith of Brookfield and Linda (Jim) Prem of Beverly Hills, Florida, and three granddaughters Lillian, Violet, and Scarlett.
He is preceded in death by his father, William. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday May 25th at 12:00 p.m. at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
