David Lee West

David Lee West, 57, of Weathersfield Twp., passed away on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at the Hospice House.  David was born December 30, 1956 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late William and Lourenna Tucker West.  He had worked as a press operator for Greif Brothers in Youngstown for 23 years and had also worked for Liberty Park Apartments and Ed Barnes Heating and Air Conditioning.  David was a member of A.R.C. Club and the I.F.H Club, both of Girard, was an avid New York Jets fan. He enjoyed golfing ,especially at Hidden Oaks and the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, fishing, crafts and baking.  He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former, Debbie Poling, whom he married Feb. 3, 1979, children Jodi West, living at home, David (Teri) Stanley of Battlecreek, Michigan, Sherry (Bill Cain) Hamner of Warren and Larry  Poling of Texas, sisters Redetha (Craig) Tremayne of Youngstown and Gladys (Mark) Gromley of Kensington, Ohio, sister-in-law Diane Bailey, 9  grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, six nieces and nephews, God-daughter Kortnie Stoudt and neighbor "Sister" Alice (Shawn) Stoudt.  He is preceded in death by his parents,  brother Carl West and great-granddaughter Kylie Hamner.   Funeral services will be held on  Monday June 2nd, 7:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
