Dolores E. (Meranto) Moliterno

Dolores E. Moliterno, 86, of Girard, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017, after a brief illness at the Hospice House in Poland, surrounded by her family. Dolores was born December 6, 1930 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Ursula (Lambert) Meranto. Dolores had a non-traditional work history, including working at a movie theater, in her teens, where she met her husband and returning to work after learning to drive in her late 40's. She owned and operated the Girard License Bureau, with her husband, and retired from Centers for Hearing Care. Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her favorite times were spent with her family, especially attending activities of her children and grandchildren. Dolores was a member of St. Rose Church. She enjoyed participating in her card clubs and baking, especially baking Easter bread and Christmas cookies. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; John N. (Polly) Moliterno of Girard, Ron Moliterno of Miramar Beach, Fl., Michael (Janice) Moliterno of Liberty, Laura Boomhower of Girard and Larry (Kathleen) Moliterno of Boardman, her grandchildren; John W. Moliterno, Jill Moliterno, Jason Moliterno, Abby Moliterno, Lindsey Camp, Alyson Carson, Amanda Moliterno, Tyler Moliterno, Lauren Moliterno and Mia Moliterno, her great-grandchildren Alyssa and Ellie Moliterno and her sister Marie Paden of Austintown. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John D. Moliterno, who died October 11, 1997 and her brothers, Joseph, Ralph and Albert Meranto. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 10th, 11:00 AM, at St. Rose Church where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of mass. Dolores will be laid to rest next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery.
