Doris J. Riehl, 85, of Girard, passed away Wednesday March 4, 2015 at Northside Hospital. She was born October 16, 1929 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles and Esther Emch Saylor. Doris worked in sales for GNC in the Union Square Plaza, in Liberty Twp., K-Mart in Niles, Meines Florist in Struthers and was also a substitute bus driver. She was a faithful member, of the former, Apostolic Christian Church In Liberty Twp.  Doris enjoyed walking, bicycling, traveling, canning and sewing. She loved being outdoors and always enjoyed camping with her family. She cherished her time spent with her family, and loved the Christmas season. She was formerly married to Calvin Ray Riehl , and is survived by her children, Donald (Gwenda) Riehl of Girard, Virginia Riehl (Dom Falcony) of Youngstown and David Riehl (Regina Benedict) of Girard, sister Anna White of Indianapolis, Indiana, brother William Saylor of Ritman, Ohio and grandchildren; Christina Riehl of Chicago, Becky (Robert) Ault of Hudson, Ohio and David Rhiel Jr. of Girard. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Saylor and brothers, Edward and Robert Saylor. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 7, 2015 at 4:00 pm at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 3:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Doris will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
