Dorothy Mae Little

Dorothy Mae Little, 90, of Girard, passed away Tuesday June 16, 2015 at Northside Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. She lived a long, fulfilling life and cherished her loved ones very much. She was born on February 15, 1925 in Girard, the daughter of the late Barnhart and Anna Berendt Gerthung. She was a active member of the church Jesus Is The Way in Youngstown. Dorothy married the love of her life, Carl Little on March 11, 1954 and had four children together. Her husband also raised her other three children from a previous marriage. She leaves behind her daughter Marjorie Walsh of Girard, sons, James Little and Carl Little of Niles and Richard Michaels of McDonald Sixteen grandchildren and twenty five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Evelyn Bahn, sons, Harmon Michaels and Robert Little, sisters, Laura Tillery, Edna Mohn and Alice Gerthung, brothers, Alfred, Arthur and Clarence Gerthung. Funeral Services will be held on Monday July 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home with calling hours from 11:00 AM till time of service. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Belmont Park Cemetery.
