Douglas Earl Scarbrough, 59, of McDonald, died Wednesday February 19, 2014 at Cleveland Clinic. He was born February 8, 1955 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Talmadge C. and Carmel Gelsomino Scarbrough. Doug made his career serving his country in the Marine Corp for 20 years. He currently worked as a Bar Manager for Lake Club in Poland. He was a member of Knights of Columbus #274, Dewitt McConnell American Legion Post #235 in Girard. Doug enjoyed golfing and collecting sports memorabilia and dearly loved his son and grandchildren. He is survived by his mother Carmel with whom he made his home, son, Brett (Misty) Scarbrough of Oregon, sisters, Denise Scarbrough (partner Nelma) of Warren, Regetta "Ricci" (Don) Heasley of Weathersfield Twp., and Darlene (Greg) Landolfi of Poland, grandchildren, Makenna, Brett Jr., Jayden and Emma, nieces, Carlie (Paul) Sohayda, Terra Donnelly, nephew, Richard Rubaner, great-nieces Eva, Alisha, and Amara, great-nephews, Richard Jr., Keaton, Cole, Ameer, and Ziad, Alfred, and best friend Roland Bundy. He is preceded in death by his father Talmadge C. Scarbrough who passed away September 8, 2007. There is a void in everyone's heart for he touched so many people in his life. A military funeral service will be held on Monday February 24, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home. Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 5:00 PM till time of service.
