Elsie Sheppard, 98, formerly of Girard, passed away on Sunday August 28, 2016 at Shepherd Of The Valley in Niles. Elsie was born October 13, 1917 in Clinton, Tennessee and moved to Girard, Ohio when she was six. She is the daughter of William and Mae (Harrel) Harkleroad. Elsie was a member of the First
Baptist Church in Girard. She is survived by two sons, Charles (Donna) Graham and Kenneth (Pat) Veisz and her daughter Carol (Harry) Bovee, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Henry (Huck) Graham, Eugene (Jim) Veisz and Mark Sheppard, brothers, Elmer and Homer Harkleroad, sisters, Ruby Sparks and Mildred Gerke, Step son Eugene (Gene) Veisz, Daughter-in-law Karen (Romish) Graham, and grandchildren, Taylor Veisz, Traci Graham, Sean Graham, Keiland Davey and Brian Davey. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 31st, 11:00 AM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
