Emory Robert "Bob" Lane,83 of Howland, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Monday, January 15, 2018. Bob was born April 26, 1934 in Smithfield, West Virginia, the son of Leonard and Emma (Ater) Lane. Bob served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Bob retired from Packard Electric after 36 years as a tow motor driver. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Girard and the V.F.W. Bob traveled extensively, with his wife, in the United States and other countries. He also enjoyed camping and fishing. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Marlene K. (Walters) Lane, whom he married August 4, 1977, his daughters; Cheri (Danny) Tsoukalas of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Tammy (Curtis) Krivi of Ocoee, Florida and Lisa Lane (Roger) of Clermont, Florida, his step-daughter, Sheryl DeHaven of Howland, his grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Shrode and Rachel Johnson, great-grandchildren, Joseph (Kristen) Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, JJ Shrode, Jessica Shrode and Caleb Shrode, brother-in-law, Jim Walters and nephews, Jacob and Justin Walters. Bob is preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22nd, 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service and also on Sunday from 4-7PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
