Eunice Margaret Smith

Eunice Smith, 89, of Hubbard formerly of Girard, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Countryside at Elmwood.

Eunice was born February 15, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter to William and Sarah (Schukengost) Jones.

She had worked for Krogers for 13 years and Golden Dawn for 10 years as a cashier and would retire from Metropolitan Bank after 17 years.

Eunice was a member of Eastern Star.

She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos.

Eunice leaves to cherish her memory her children, Deborah (Gary) Johnson of Kinsman and Thomas (Janet) Smith Jr. of Youngstown, along with her grandson, Richard, great grandchildren, Hailie,Kaylee and Kadon and great great grandchild Rene. 

Along with her parents Eunice is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Smith Sr., who she married May 8, 1954 and passed away March 7, 2019; her sisters, Gloria Jones and Mitzi Wolfe; brothers, James, Robert, David and William Jones, and grandson Michael. .

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 6th from 4-5PM followed by a funeral service at 5:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.

Eunice will be laid to rest next to her husband at Girard City Cemetery.
