Eva Mae (Chapman) Walker

Eva Mae Walker, 86, of Girard, passed away on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born December 15, 1927 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret Kerrigan Chapman.  She had worked for the Ohio Leather Works for 11 years and later for Commercial Data in Hubbard as a key punch operator for 22 years.  Eva was a member of  Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard.  She is survived by her husband Robert Walker, whom she married June 21, 1947, daughter Marjorie Walker of Girard, Daughter-In-Law Debbie Walker of Liberty Twp., sisters Margaret Groves of Girard, Virginia Wilkerson of Oklahoma City, Nancy (Jack) Rice of Jefferson, Ohio, Lois Liddle of Livingston, Texas and Betty Chapman of Jefferson, Ohio, grandchildren Heather Walker, Brian (Ariel) Walker and Eric (Renee) Walker, and her great-granddaughter Maya. She was preceded in death by her sons, Robert and James Walker. Funeral services will be held on Friday April 4th, 11:00 AM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5-7PM at the funeral home.  Eva will be laid to rest at Belmont Park Cemetery.  The family requests any material contributions be made to the Salvation Army.  Visit www.blackstonefuneralhome.com to view this obituary and to send any condolences to the Walker family.
