Faye L (Henry) Sarra

Faye L. Sarra, 84, of Girard, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on April 16, 2016. Faye was born April 10,1932 in New Kensington, Pa., the daughter of Leonard G. and Lucinda C. Singer Henry. Faye had worked for Risher's Dairy, in Girard, for many years and then worked as a Staff Representative for Congressman, James Traficant, for 16 years, where she retired from. She was a member of St. Rose Church. Faye enjoyed bowling, in her younger years, and loved to play cards with her friends, going to bingo, the casino's, and was an avid Cleveland Indian's fan. Faye possessed a deep love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family. Taking care of her family was first and foremost to her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Thomas Sarra Sr., Karen Harvey, both of Girard, and Susan Sarra of Austintown, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dominic E. Sarra, whom she married July 12,1952 and died July 21, 2003, sisters, Peg and Dorothy, brothers, Jack and Earl and a great-grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 20th, 11:00 AM at St. Rose Church, preceded by a prayer service at 10:30 AM , at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Faye will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery, next to her husband.
