Frances M (Layshock) Bush

February 24, 1928 — July 5, 2016

Frances M. Bush, 88, of McDonald, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Meridian Arms Living Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. Frances was born on February 24, 1928, in Youngstown,Ohio, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Strichko) Layshock. Frances was a member of Lady of Perpetual Help and was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, crafts, cards, games, spending time with family, and preparing holiday dinners. Frances is survived by her husband Edward Bush, whom she married July 28, 1951. Together they shared a loving marraige of nearly 65 years. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, David (Patti) Bush of Fowler, Ohio, Barbara (Richard) Molinari of McDonald, Ohio, Richard (Michelle) Bush of Poland, Ohio, and Tina (Lee) Sparks of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; her grandchildren, David Jr. and Eric Bush, Rebecka Speerstra, Ricky and Jenn Molinari, Michelle and Norah Bush, Melanie Melnik,  and Billy Sparks, five great-grandchildren, her brother Michael (Pat) Layshock of Maryland and sister-in-law Ruth Rice. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her son James Bush; sister Ruth Sakmar, and brother; Leonard Layshock. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the nurses and staff of Meridian Arms Living Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 10:00 AM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
