Frank Young Sr., 90, of Girard, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020, at Continuing Health Care Center, Boardman, Ohio. Frank was born February 21, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Frank and Dorothy (Hamm) Young. Frank had worked on the railroad, in Long, Island, for 30 years retiring in 1988. He had proudly served his country during WW II in the Navy. Frank was a member of the DAV Chapter 2 and the Girard Band Boosters. He volunteered for Camelot Stables, was a volunteer firefighter for Wantaugh, and was apart of the Boy Scouts Troop #40. Frank enjoyed watching western movies, his coffee time, model trains and especially his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Frank (Jody) Young Jr., of Girard, Terry Kazda, of New York, Larry (Linda) Kazda, of Florida and Jerry Kazda, of New York, sisters, Anna, Mina and Helen, and his grandchildren, Alana, Georgeanne, Frank III, Christina, Jerry, Joe, Kevin, Joseph, Steven, Warren and Kenny. Frank is preceded in death by his first wife, Ann and his second wife Delores. A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 29th, at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the DAV Chapter 2: 4496 Mahoning Ave. #268, Austintown, OH 44515.
