Fred P. Faustino, 77, of Liberty Township, passed away on Thursday January 26, 2017 at his home. Fred was born October 8, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Carmen and Josephine (Addeo) Faustino and has been a lifelong resident. He was a graduate from Liberty High School in 1957. Fred was a Captain with the Liberty Police Department and retired in 1989. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard. His wife, Carol L. Faustino, whom he married November 22, 1969, passed away on October 25, 2013. Throughout his life he served his community through his involvement in government and many organizations to include the Crime Clinic of Greater Youngstown, where he served as a past president and has been the longest serving Treasurer/ Secretary, the Mahoning Valley Olde Car Club, PERI #56, the Served on the Advisory Council of the Trumbull County Senior Levy Services, Democratic Precinct Committee Member, Liberty Historical Society and the Liberty Optimist Club. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Fred is survived by his son Daniel (Gail) Faustino of Brookfield, his daughter Leslie Faustino of Liberty Township, his sister Mary Jane Williams of Liberty Township, his three grandchildren Jaryd Faustino, Carmen (Ashley) Faustino and Casey (Zac) Faustino- Carpenter and his two great-grandchildren Avalenna and Capri Faustino. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a grandson Dominic. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 31st, 12:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4-8 PM and Tuesday at 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Fred will be laid to rest at Churchill Cemetery.
