George B. Patten, 92, of Liberty Twp., passed away Tuesday March 22, 2016, peacefully, at his residence. He was born August 7, 1923 in Marian Twp., Pennsylvania, the son of the late George and Della Kohlmeyer Patten. He served in the U.S. Army as a Cpl in WW II. George retired from Ohio Edison after 32 years . He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church. He is survived by his son Gary (Barbara) Patten of Massachusetts and two grandchildren, Melanie and Gloria. He was preceded in death by his wife, Majorie Burdick Patten, of whom he married May 17, 1949 and died September 20, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held at Pleasant Valley Church in Liberty Twp., on Tuesday March 29, 2016 with calling hours from 10: 00 AM until the time of service.
