Gladamae Fackety

Gladamae Fackety, 87, of Girard, died Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Autumn Hills Nursing Home.  She was born December 23, 1925 in Mantua, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank & Gladys Renner Herst.  Gladamae graduated from Chalker High School, and was a member of the First Christian Church.  She formerly worked as a secretary in the accounting department for Federal Machine & Welding, Shaffer Equipment and Dr. Angelo Delliquadri,DC in Girard.  Gladamae received many awards and blue ribbons in Mahoning & Trumbull County for her cross stitching.  She enjoyed doing crafts, working in her flower garden and loved her dogs Shadow & Robin.  She is survived by her husband Emmett "Dave" Fackety whom she married September 19, 1945, her long time friend Janet Gladd of Howland and her caregivers Peggy & Tom Davis of Girard.  She was preceded in death by her brother Arthur Herst.  A Memorial Service will be held on Monday March 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home.  Family request in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Animal Welfare League Shelter, 545 Brunstetter Rd.
