Gladys F (Price) Collins

Gladys Fay (Price) Collins, 84, died Tuesday May 16, 2017, at Liberty Health Care. Gladys was born April 28, 1933, in Danville, West Virginia, the daughter of Joda Price and Goldie Mae (Stratton) Price.

Gladys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Hope Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school.

She was an excellent cook and famous for her large meals at family functions and with her church family. She was a great baker and made the best cookies for the holidays.

Gladys had a gracious and generous heart and will be missed by all who knew her. Gladys will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 67 years, Wallace, their son Steve Collins and daughter-in-law Darla Collins of VIenna, her sisters Janet Yeager and Mary Stone, granddaughter Lisa (Collins) Benetos and her husband Nicholas Benetos, five great grandchildren; Theo, Maki, Athan, Taylore, and Maxine and one great-great granddaughter Peyton.

Besides her parents, Gladys is preceded in death by her son, James Dale Collins, her grandson James and her brothers, James and Joey Price. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 22nd, 1:00PM, at Blackstone Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 11:30 AM until the time of service.
