Gloria G. Gerry, 68, of Youngstown, passed away on Friday September 6, 2013 at her residence. Gloria was born Sept. 18, 1944 in Oak Park, Illinois, the daughter of the late Arthur and Eleanor Kocol Reichel. She was a graduate of Case Western Reserve College with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and had worked in the Youngstown area as a nurse. Gloria attended First Presbyterian Church in Youngstown on Wick Ave. and loved gardening, especially her roses. She is survived by her husband, Donald R. Gerry, whom she married Oct.27, 1981, her children Dave Schory of Dayton, Tim (Trish) Schory of Chicago, Ill, Karen (Doug) Stevenson of Milpitas, Calf., Annie Gerry of Columbia, SC, Amy Gerry of Youngstown and step-daughter Shawnda (Barry) Smoker of Pittsburgh, Pa., sister Donna Kuroda of Washington, DC and grandchildren Jacob, Gracie and Emma Schory. A memorial service will be held on Monday Sept. 9th, 8:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 7:00 PM until the time of service.
