Gloria H. Lang, 82, of Liberty Twp., died Thursday November 27, 2014 at Hospice House. She was born March 15, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Snyder Lang. At the age of 10, Gloria worked on the fishing docks of New Jersey; and her employment in her youth varied from lumberjack to waitress. She served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954; and she also traveled extensively through Europe and the States. Glorida graduated from the University of the State of New York, and studied Chemistry at Kent State University and Youngstown State University. Gloria worked for Packard Electric for 39 years; the only female tool and dye maker retiring in 1993 and operated Accu-Pro Tax Service since 1960. She was a former President of Lang Industries, Inc. in Warren. Gloria was a member of the American Legion Post #540 of Cortland, the V.F.W. Post #1090 of Newton Falls and the I.U.E. Union #717. She is survived by her best friend and companion, Diana Luster, of Liberty Twp. and her "Adopted" family; Jacqueline, Joseph, Sammy & Taylor Lody, all of Cortland. She is preceded in death by her two half brothers. A Military Service will be held on Sunday November 30, 2014 at 5:00 PM conducted by the American Legion Post #540 of Cortland at Blackstone Funeral Home of Girard. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home. Gloria will be laid to rest at Churchill Cemetery.
