Gloria D (Walker) Powers

Funeral services will be held at 12 P.M., Thursday at Blackstone Funeral Home for Gloria D. Powers, 90, of Girard, who died on Sunday the 1st of January at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Youngstown, Ohio. Born November 30, 1926, in Youngstown, Ohio, Gloria was one of four and the only daughter of Harold L. and Charlotte E. (Clark) Walker.

Gloria married Daniel C. Powers on June 4, 1980. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Liberty. She worked as a Dispatcher/ Timekeeper for Republic Steel before retiring in 1982. She enjoyed playing cards and bowling with her friends.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Daniel of their residence; her children, Sherry Lehn of Girard, Terry Brown of Hubbard, Lori (Peter) Dyck of Canada, and Jeannette (Ronald) Brown of Girard; her two brothers Harold N. Walker of Girard and Lester "Buck" Walker of Liberty; her grandchildren, Diana (Roger) Murillo, Chuck (Lynette) Brown, Jeff (Donna) Brown, Paul (Melanie) Brown, Tommy (Lori) Lehn, April (Joe) Turner, Brian Bennett, Kari (Stephen) Koniowsky, and her great- grandchildren, TJ, Bryant, Courtney, Vinny,  Riley, Ruby, Abby, and Tyler.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Kenneth C. Brown, two sons Kenny Brown and Mark Powers and a brother E. Wayne Walker.
