Grace (DiStefano) Marziani

Grace Marziani, 92, of Girard, passed away on Thursday January 23, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Grace was born January 26, 1921 in Connellsville, Pa., the daughter of the late Francesco and Anna Astone DiStefano.  She retired in 1984 after 30 years in housekeeping from St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Grace was a member of St. Rose Church, was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing.  She is survived by her daughter Anna Antonia Rottino, husband Giusseppe, of Italy, son Ercole "Eric" Marziani of Girard, grandchildren Joshua Marziani of Girard, Francesco Rottino, wife Carmela, of Italy and Maria Grazia Rottino of Italy,  great-grandchildren Giusseppe and Martina Rottino, and family member Mamozza Tindera of Italy.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Elio Marziani, whom she married Dec. 14, 1944 and died Dec. 24, 1968, sister Giovannina DiStefano and brothers Francesco DiStefano and Giusseppe DiStefano.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday January 27th, 11:00 AM at St. Rose Church preceded by a 10:30AM prayer service at Blackstone Funeral Home.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2-5PM at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.  The family requests any material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley in Grace's memory.  Visit www.blackstonefuneralhome.com to view this obituary and to send condolences to the Marziani family.
